Terms & Conditions
Definitions
Retailer:
J.C. Campbell Electrics Limited
Consumer: A person buying not in connection with a trade or business
Prices: The cost of an item or items as agreed with the retailer.
The
following terms and conditions apply to all orders processed by the retailer
either online or by any other form of communication and form part of the
contract between us. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future
reference.
By using
this site or purchasing from us indicates your acceptance of these terms and
conditions.
Prices
All
prices include VAT.
Contract
No
contract is created until we have accepted your order. Once an order has been
accepted there is a binding sale contract between the retailer and the
customer. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a
typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers
we will not process your order and therefore there will be no contract between
the retailer and consumer. We will instead alert you immediately to the actual
price of the goods and you then have the option to proceed at an updated price.
We will only process any such order with your explicit authority. Prices quoted
are subject to stock availability.
Payment
Payment
will only be taken once we have confirmed the order and delivery date to you in
a durable format, normally an email. A contract between us is not formed until
we have processed the transaction. We accept payment by most major credit and
debit cards. If you experience any problems whilst making a payment please
contact us for help. We also accept payment by cheque and postal order.
Delivery
We aim is
to deliver all goods ordered within 10 working days to Northern Ireland
addresses from date of the order being accepted. If you live the Republic of
Ireland we can deliver but you may incur additional charges (e-mail us for a
quotation) and you may also experience delivery delays.
If the
product that you have selected is not available at the time of placing your
order, and it is necessary for us to order directly from the manufacturer, you
will be contacted to confirm delivery arrangements. We will keep you up to date
with the progress of your order if the item is delayed for any reason.
Delivery
We can
install new products. However, we can only do this if the following conditions
exist:
TV – An
aerial point, connected to a working aerial and power supply must be within 1
metre from the TV. We can wall mount TV’s for an additional fee. A bracket must
be purchased separately. Please contact us for a quote.
Washing
Machine & Dishwasher – All plumbing and electrical points must be present
and freely accessible.
We do not
install Gas or Integrated Appliances, however, we can advise on preferred
installers.
IMPORTANT
It is you
responsibility to check your goods upon delivery for shortages or damage and to
make a note of such on the carriers consignment note when you sign for the
goods. Any damage must be reported to us by phone or e-mail within 48 hours of
delivery.
Products
Product
images, descriptions and specifications are shown for guidance only. For more
detailed information and specification contact the manufacturer. Some products
may require set-up and/or assembly; for example TV's, DVDs and Hi-fi tuners may
need manually tuning. TV stands/cabinet stands may need assembly. Washing
machines need to have transit bolts removed etc.
If you
are unable to set-up, assemble or install a product yourself, you are advised
to contact a competent person.
Recycling of electrical and electronic equipment
Under the
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations members of the
public can deposit old electrical and electronic items at recycling sites
across the UK, free of charge.
The WEEE
regulations aim to reduce the quantity of electrical and electronic items
disposed of in landfill sites and will encourage everyone to play a part in
protecting the environment for future generations.
As
retailers of electrical and electronic products, we fully support this
regulation, and we have joined the Distributor Take-Back (DTS) scheme - which
has helped develop a new UK recycling network for waste electrical products. To
find your nearest recycling sites for waste electrical
and electronic products, contact your local council, or visit www.recycle-more.co.uk
and type your postcode into the recycling bank locator.
Fraud
With the
level of fraudulent orders being placed on the internet increasing, we now have
additional measures in place to check orders made via our website.
All
orders are checked as thoroughly as possible using the information provided.
However as a result of these extra security measures, it is possible that we
might need to speak to you prior to the goods being dispatched and may put the
order temporarily on hold whilst we do so.
Guarantee
All
products are supplied guaranteed for a minimum period of one year from the date
of delivery.
Complaints
Any
complaints regarding the goods or services supplied should be made direct to
the retailer.
Your Right to Cancel
You have
the right to cancel your order within seven working days following the day
after the date of delivery and return the goods supplied to us for a full
refund. You must notify us in writing or by email within the seven days of your

30 days of giving us your notice to cancel. We are unable to accept back goods
for a credit if they are unwanted gifts or non-faulty items 7 days after the
purchase date. These Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Faulty Goods
In the
unlikely event that goods develop a fault you should in the first instance
consult the manufacturers instruction booklet to
ensure that everything is connected in accordance with their instructions.
If you
believe that a fault exists, then contact the retailers and explain the details
of the problem.
The
retailer will arrange for either a repair or replacement at a mutually convenient
time.
Faults
that develop after the initial warranty period may be repaired on a chargeable
basis depending on circumstances.
Your
statutory rights are not affected.
